Grim Reaper’s Son Launches Horrific New Interview Series

It wasn’t always easy being growing up as the Grim Reaper’s son, but now Aaron and his fashion forward wife, Jessica (Restaurateurs Aaron and Jessica Grimmer) are out to do death their way…over dinner! LAST MEAL, a first of it’s kind branded entertainment/horror/comedy/interview series launches Mid-April, 2017. Produced by 2Penguins and Odkrow, a Portland, Oregon based restaurant group, helmed by the Grimmers, the series feels like the offspring between Dinner for 5 and The Addams Family, if they ever had a baby.

“Jessica and I, besides food and drink, are very interested in death.  We were looking for a fun way to add to the cultural conversation around death and promote our restaurants…and what better way than to tell the  the next generation Grim Reaper story?  We get deep, consume great food and drink, and then kill them. We’re very punk rock.” says Aaron Grimmer.

Each episode of LAST MEAL features indie artists/musicians, many from the LGBT community, as guests and their thoughts about death, dying, religion, and more.  Guests include:

  • Carli Davidson,  Internationally recognized award winning Pet Photographer

  • Sabrina Jalees, Comedian/Actress/Writer (Transparent, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, MTV Showcase)

  • Logan Lynn, Composer/Singer/Activist (Host of NewNowNext, latest album ADIEU)

“I mean death has been a huge part of my life being that I’ve been working with animals and caring for / killing animals to feed other animals since I was like 8 years old, so the idea of a honoring death by being a good host to those your about to kill is kinda a big thing for me…” says renowned pet photographer, Carli Davidson.

Aaron and Jessica take the family biz to a whole new level.  It’s not just a transaction, it’s an experience…of horrific and fantastical deaths.  Each episode features a different guest meeting their maker in a completely different way.  The series features incredible special effects with every guests death, all told in a campy and non-chalant way.  The “last meals” are horrific, surreal, elegant, campy, gross, but most especially, fun.
