“Lost” Films TIME TRAP and BIO-TECH WARRIOR are Resurrected

Bret McCormick has announced the limited edition release of two “lost” science fiction films, available for the first time on DVD. Time Trap (formerly Time Tracers), which received a very limited release on VHS in the mid-90s and Bio-tech Warrior, a film that has never before been released in the U.S., are now available as Limited Edition Collector’s Releases. Both films were produced in 1995. Only 1,000 units of each title will be made available for purchase. Each will be hand numbered and autographed by the film maker. After this release, the masters of these films will be vaulted for the remainder of the director’s lifetime. McCormick is best known for his ultra-cheapie gorefest The Abomination (1986).

Time Trap, as the title implies, is a time-travel picture featuring Jeffrey Combs of Re-Animator fame. Rocky Patterson, Tyler Mason and Dorenda Moore also appear in the movie. Biotech Warrior is the story of a deadly cybernetic organism wreaking havoc on America with the intent of detonating a nuclear device in Washington, D.C. The film stars Chris Heldman, T.J. Meyers and Patrick DeFazio.

“I grew up watching mostly made-for-TV programming, like the original Star Trek, Lost in Space, The Six Million Dollar Man, that sort of thing, in the late 60s and early 70s. Because of my fondness for the science fiction of that era, Biotech Warrior and Time Tracers have a nostalgic retro quality.” McCormick states.

Will modern viewers relate to these films? McCormick laughs, “Well, they’re certainly not Hollywood blockbusters. They were made for fans like myself who have a fondness for the oddball sci-fi and horror films of bygone days. There will only be 1,000 units of each title EVER worldwide. There are probably 1,000 fans of this stuff in Dallas alone.”

Only 1,000 units of each title will be made available for purchase. Each will be hand numbered and autographed by the film maker. After this release, the masters of these films will be vaulted for the remainder of the director’s lifetime. The release of these two movies is designed to quickly increase the value of these collectible DVDs.
