Sources have confirmed the late actor’s death at age 91, saying that he passed away peacefully at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles from natural causes. And as a WWII veteran, Pasadena Playhouse graduate, and sometimes singer – boy, what a life he lived!

A chameleon of an actor who could bring any character in any genre to life, Harry Dean Stanton was known for his various roles in Dillinger, The Godfather: Part II, Paris, Texas, Red Dawn, Pretty in Pink, The Last Temptation of Christ, Down Periscope, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Green Mile. As far as television is concerned, he’s most recognized for an 8 episode stint on “Gunsmoke” from 1958 to 1968 and for recurring on “Big Love” for 39 episodes from 2006 to 2010.

As horror and science fiction fans, Stanton left us with a number of iconic roles.
