Michael Loren Mauldin Joins ‘Kecksburg’ Creative Team.

Cody Knotts gets people talking. From his deliciously bad debut Lucifer’s Unholy Desire to his gross-out slaughterfest Breeding Farm, to his genre bending action horror-comedy Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies and award winning urban legend flick Gore Orphanage, this guy knows how to weave a story that captivates the attention of independent horror viewers. I’m sure that his latest adventure, Kecksburg, is going to have the same effect but on a much broader scale. You see, the basic story of Kecksburg – The East Coast’s version of Roswell – is already etched into the pages of history and Knotts’ upcoming feature is going to dive deeper into those pages to read between the lines. And he’s added one very important, brilliant man to the project who is destined to boost its star quality.

Michael Loren Mauldin has joined the Kecksburg team as a creative crew member with the responsibility of designing the Kecksburg spaceship and its alien language. Research and technology buffs will instantly recognize Mr. Mauldin as the man who founded the Lycos internet search engine; and he competes as a scientist and builder in the Robot Fighting League. His production design and content will be highlighted by cinematographer Ellie Ann Fenton, storyboard artist Gerry R. Kissell and art director Brian Nalls.

Speaking exclusively with Cody Knotts, I can confirm that big name horror icons are reading the Kecksburg script in hopes of joining the production. While I can’t mention them by name right now, it is already common knowledge that A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 & 5’s Lisa Wilcox, My Bloody Valentine 3D’s Richard John Walters and Paranormal Activity 3’s Maria Olsen have already signed onto this project. They’ll be joined on screen by Remington Moses, Nick LaMantia, Szonja Oroszlan, Emily Lapisardi, Andrew Roth, Caesar James, Rob Vardaro and Gary Lee Vincent. More casting announcements are forthcoming.

Andrea Ogden, Louis Oliverio, Vince Ruffalo and Rob Vardaro are slated to produce this feature written and directed by Cody Knotts for Principalities of Darkness LLC.
