(Short Film) Jaren Lewis’ Bad Dreams

A visual nightmare. Watch as we drift within the dark corners of our protagonists mind. We see her stoically approach each maddening scene with the feeling of safety because “it’s only just a dream.” If dreams do come true, then what about our nightmares?

Bad Dreams is a three minute short film from writer/director Jaren Lewis. It’s a simple story about a young woman being woken from her sleep one night, but it’s an artistic, visual piece inspired by Dario Argento’s iconic film Suspiria. Jaren was aiming for Suspiria meets The Babadook, and I think it was successful.

Bad Dreams stars Arial Hensley and Timothy Smith.
