A Super Twisted Production Presents MALAFAFONE
Jono Freedrix’s Malafafon, a two minute horror-comedy about self-harm in the service of beauty, is making its online premiere.
Malafafone follows a neurotically happy young woman as she prepares to impress a special evening guest. Set in an immaculately sterile apartment, the film is rooted in otherworldly absurdism, and is about the extreme damage that women inflict on themselves for unattainable beauty standards.
Written and directed by multi award-winning filmmaker Jono Freedrix, whose films have screened in 30 festivals and counting, Malafafone stars Lesley Shannon and features an original score by composer Scott Hampton with makeup and special effects by Alan Rowe Kelly, who crafted a delightfully disgusting never-before-seen finale.
Malafafone is a horror-comedy for fans of the twisted and the strange. It can be found at: www.jonofreedrix.com/shorts.
