Holy crap. This is amazing. Gremlins: Recall looks and feels just like a real life, direct-to-DVD sequel; utilizing retro style filming, practical effects, and the Christmas spirit to make one of the best fan films on the internet. In an unofficial, short film continuation from writer/director Ryan Patrick, Gremlins: Recall sees the cute little buggers made into family pets that tug at the heartstrings of customers. Unfortunately, an animal lover of sorts working at a small town diner accidentally unleashes the ugly side of the mysterious creatures and Christmas Eve becomes a disaster once again.
From French New Wolf & Whitelist in association with Mindseye, Gremlins: Recall stars Katherine Rodriguez, Randy Irwin, Sarah Lilly and Robert Wood. It was produced by Nash Cubero, Rich Salamone, and Sarah Lilly with executive producer Jerad Anderson. Isaac Bauman served as cinematographer with Collin Davis. Eric Fox handled creature effects.
