NJ Premiere of Beneath at The Brightside Tavern Shorts Festival
March 3rd, 2018 Mass Grave Pictures’ Beneath will have its NJ Premiere at The Brightside Tavern Shorts Festival at the Brightside Tavern in Jersey City, NJ.
Beneath is Lindsay Serrano’s writing and directorial debut. Starring Alyssa Booth, Frankie Basile, Samantha Quintana, and Sarah Chapin, Beneath is about a girl who seeks revenge against her deceptive boyfriend after he uploads a naughty video of them without her permission. Beneath is nominated for Best Horror/Thriller, Best Actress for Alyssa Booth, and Best Director for Lindsay Serrano. Beneath is “a sassy, bloody and surprising horror flick and I enjoyed it. I highly recommend you check it out.” (Horror Society)
Theatre of Terror’s The Gift will also have its NJ Premiere at the Brightside Tavern Film Series. The Gift is about a prostitute fleeing from the scene of a murder who is offered refuge in an old antique store by the mysterious shopkeeper who then gives her a gift that will get her out of her predicament.
Beneath and The Gift recently tied for the Audience Choice Award at the 2018 Macabre Faire Film Festival and are both screening as part of the Brightside Tavern Shorts Fest Horror Block. Mass Grave Pictures’ Lindsay and Manny Serrano, actress Alyssa Booth, and Theatre of Terror’s Thomas Ryan and Russell and Diane Hackett will all be in attendance to participate in a Block Q&A after the films.
