Daeg Faerch (Rob Zombie’s Halloween, American Vandal) IS American Jesus in this new grindhouse comedy from producer Johnny Macabre (Don’t F*ck in the Woods), and writer/director Jason Hawkins (All American Bully). Jesus has returned, and accompanied by the one-eyed hooker Mary (Elissa Dowling, from Death House, and Party Bus to Hell) he’s out to find the man who framed him, crucified him, and left him for dead. That’s right, it’s the second coming, bitch.
Additional casting for this film is set to begin in late Spring in Portland, OR, with the producers announcing their intent to make this a SAG film, and to begin filming in the fall.
Johnny Macabre known for his work on Don’t F*ck in the Woods 1&2, Crepitus with Bill Mosely, and many more genre films, jumped at the opportunity to produce this feature length project, seeing it as a chance to have some fun, spill some blood, and really dive into a film in the traditions of Dead Hooker in a Trunk, Hobo With a Shotgun, and other grindhouse style films that have made audiences laugh, cry, and cringe!
Based on a script from multi-award winner Jason Hawkins, whose films can be found in Redbox, itunes, Amazon and in outlets around the world, the players have all the elements necessary to make a rambunctious, gore-filled, over-the-top comedy that’s sure to offend children of all ages.
