STAGE 13’s ‘LA QUINCEAÑERA’ DEBUTS ON STUDIO+ APP
Right-of-Passage Action-Horror Series Available Now on Mobile Platform
LOS ANGELES, CA – March 20, 2018 – Stage 13, the fearless original digital content brand that is a division of Warner Bros. Digital Networks, has had its first international debut with its original premium series “La Quinceañera” on the Studio+ app. The series is now available in Canal+ territories including the U.S. and Latin America. The series was produced by esteemed horror producers LuchaGore Productions, Raynor Shima and Stage 13, was directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero and written by Shane McKenzie.
The entire series can now be seen on the Studio Plus app which can be found on the Apple store and at studio.plus.
“La Quinceañera” is a coming-of-age revenge tale centered on a family’s tragic twist of fate that takes place at a girl’s quinceañera. The celebration turns into a life-changing moment as our young, innocent girl transforms into a gutsy heroine to avenge her family’s death. The seven-episode series is a unique and gripping action-horror family drama, led by a strong 15-year-old female character that has no choice but to defend the honor and legacy of her family.
Created by McKenzie and Saul Guerrero, written by McKenzie and Directed by Saul Guerrero, the series cast includes Mia Xitlali (Alejandra; credits include “Max,” “Girl Meets World”), Gabriela Reynoso (Abuela), Gustavo Gomez (Santiago), Veronica Diaz (Beatriz), Patricia De Leon (Estela), Mathias Retamal (Chavo), Mauricio Mendoza (Reynaldo) and Bertila Damas (Angelica).
