CHICAGO’S NEW INDIE FILM DISTRIBUTOR COW LAMP FILMS PRESENT THE WORLD PREMIERE OF “SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET” AT THE DAVIS THEATER FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2018

Cow Lamp Films announces the World Premiere of its newly acquired indie horror comedy feature film, Skeletons in the Closet, by Chicago directors Tony Wash and B.A. Lewandowski. Wash is known for The Rake and for writing and curating the long-standing web series World of Death for Bloody-Disgusting.com. Lewandowski is known for High on the Hog and Olympia and is a Columbia College Alum (1998).

The World Premiere will be at The Davis Theater and presented in association with Windy City Horrorama, Chicago’s homegrown horror film festival. 80s horror fans will experience what they have been dying to see.

Skeletons in the Closet will screen twice on Friday, September 7th at 9:00pm and 11:30pm at The Davis Theater, 4614 N. Lincoln Ave. A Q&A with filmmakers and cast begins at 10:45pm.

Produced by Scotchworthy Productions, Inc., September Son Films, and The Line Film Co, ‘Skeletons’ was shot in Chicago with many of the same local film crew that worked on Chance The Rapper’s horror comedy Slice, which will be released by A24 this year.

Skeletons in the Closet stars Scream Queen Ellie Church (High on the Hog, Amazon Hot Box) stage actor Adam Michaels (represented by Ravenswood’s Big Mouth Talent) and Elizabeth Stenholt (Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure at Navy Pier). Skeletons in the Closet is a late-night, horror anthology television series featuring The Widow and her dead husband, Charlie. Each episode finds them providing hilarious commentary on a variety of B-movie horror films – some of which are terrifying! Their number one fan, a precocious 11-year-old named Jamie, never misses an episode. With her parents out for the evening, Jamie sits down in front of the tube to devour the delectable terror, but her favorite Friday night freak show is constantly interrupted by her annoying new babysitter, Tina. If they can survive each other, they may be able to survive the night! https://skeletonsinthecloset.tv

“Cow Lamp Films is excited to be distributing Skeletons in the Closet. The film pays homage to the classic anthology series many of us grew up on and often reminisce. This homage takes the genre in a new and exciting direction,” says Josh da Silva, Director of Acquisitions.

Tony Wash is an Illinois-based producer/director with four feature credits and multiple festival awards to date. His newest works include the horror feature The Rake starring Shenae Grimes-Beech (Scream 4), Rachel Melvin (Sleepy Hollow/Dumb & Dumber To), and Izabella Miko (Coyote Ugly, Supernatural) released by Sony Pictures in June 2018, and the grindhouse feature High on the Hog starring Sid Haig (House of 1,000 Corpses/Night of the Living Dead 3D). Wash’s short film The Muck was an Official Selection of SXSW (2014), The Chicago International Film Festival (2014) and Screamfest (2014).

Cow Lamp Films is the Midwest’s first and only full-service independent film and television distributor that creates opportunities to indie filmmakers that are difficult to access without the support of large studios. With the help of this establishment, an independent filmmaker can see their film reach audiences through platforms such as Netflix, Hulu and iTunes. Cow Lamp Films also offers visual marketing services to ensure each film’s poster and trailer represent the film in the most effective manner. Cow Lamp Films has the industry network of its 32-year-old parent company, Questar, Inc. www.cowlampfilms.com Tickets can be purchased at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3584895
