R.I.P. Aliens’ Al Matthews

Sources are reporting that United States Veteran, actor and singer Al Matthews has passed away. He was found deceased at his home in Alicante, Spain on Saturday, September 22nd 2018 at the age of 75. Matthews is most known for playing the supporting role of Sergeant Apone in Aliens (1986), a role he reprised years later in video game Aliens: Colonial Marines (2013).

Al was featured briefly in The Final Conflict (1981), Superman III (1983) and The Fifth Element (1997). As a marine, Al was received numerous awards for his contributions to this country, including two Purple Hearts. Also, in 1978, he became the first black disc jockey on Britain’s Radio 1, according to ComicBook.com.
