Elvira Features on New Song by Kim Petras

Elvira is synonymous with Halloween season, and she’s looked at as one of the – if not the greatest – horror hosts of all time. However, few people seem to remember that she’s also a singer. In the 70’s and 80’s, Cassandra Peterson, the woman behind the character, was the lead singer of several bands including Latins 80, Mammas Boys and The Snail. Following her breakout role as The Mistress of the Dark, Cassandra released six Halloween themed albums as Elvira, including a Greatest Hits Album in 2010. Most recently, she put out a tongue in cheek tune, 2 Big Pumpkins, in 2014 and featured on a Leslie and the Ly’s track in 2008.

Now, Elvira is featured on the most recent single by Kim Petras, an up-and-coming singer signed to BunHead Records. With an 80’s themed, dance vibe, Kim Petras has exploded onto the music scene with hits like “I Don’t Want It All” and “Heart to Break.” Her latest album, Turn Off the Light: Volume 1, is currently available on Google, iTunes, Spotify and YouTube. The fourth song on the album, “In the Next Life,” features Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. The song is perfect for your Halloween 2018 parties, so give it a listen! I’ve included the audio for you just below.
