R.I.P. Eyes of Laura Mars Actor Frank Adonis

Sources are reporting that actor Frank Adonis passed away yesterday, December 26th 2018, in Las Vegas. His wife didn’t mention a specific cause of death in a statement to TMZ, but eluded to the fact that he had been struggling with kidney problems and breathing problems in recent years. He was 83 at the time of his death.

Frank Adonis was most known for his roles in mega-hit Italian movies including Patsy in Raging Bull (1980), Anthony Stabile in Goodfellas (1990) and Rocky in Casino (1995). With over 40 credits to his resume, Frank also appeared in a handful of horror films. He played the supporting role of Sal Volpe in Irvin Kershner’s Eyes of Laura Mars (1978), which was written by John Carpenter, and played Scola in Michael Wadleigh’s Wolfen (1981). In 2007, Adonis co-wrote a horror film with director Anthony Indelicato, The Woods Have Eyes, of which he played the part of Bubba.
