Legendary blues singer Regina Bonelli has released the music video for “KILLING FLOOR”, a fantastic reimagining of the original Howlin’ Wolf classic, via True Groove Records. Although an unusual choice, Regina chose Dylan Mars Greenberg, the young cult horror director known for her work on AMITYVILLE: VANISHING POINT and REAGITATOR: REVENGE OF THE PARODY to helm the video.
“I aimed to really put the ‘Kill’ in Killing Floor.” says Miss Greenberg, who is currently directing the True Groove produced feature film “Spirit Riser”. “I was a big fan of the original and Doncker’s new arrangement combined with Bonelli’s gorgeous singing voice breathed a whole new fire into the song. So, I used fire and smoke as a juxtaposition to create a one woman horror noire.”
The music video was styled by New York City horror and cult stylist Glitter Macabre, who is considered “the secret weapon of the goth scene.” Here, their style reaches new highs on the moody, shadow draped stage they’ve created with the director.
