Daymare: 1998 Offers Free Content Update “H.A.D.E.S. Dead End”

Daymare: 1998, the thrilling third-person survival horror game, introduces “H.A.D.E.S. Dead End”

a new gameplay mode that is a part of a free content update released today. The update also brings further updates and fixes to the base game, as developers are working hard to perfect the experience for current fans as well as new customers alike. A short trailer and screenshots accompany the release of this update.

Daymare: 1998 has been built around three characters and follows a pre-defined path of storytelling, offering three different perspectives on the events in Keen Sight. But what happened beyond? What other challenges does moving through a city full of bloodthirsty mutated ex-humans bring?

H.A.D.E.S. Dead End offers a completely new gameplay mode that sets the player in the skin of the best known H.A.D.E.S. operative – Liev. Clean Slate protocol is underway, which only means one thing for him – move fast to cover the traces of Hexacore’s long-term misconduct in Keen Sight. Explore the corridors, eliminate remaining enemies without a second thought and get rid of or retrieve the incriminating documents. The clock is ticking!

H.A.D.E.S. Dead End offers two modes to play in, one of which throws in random modifiers such as repeated hallucinations or limited resources, and four different gear and ammunition packs to start with. Playing either as Scout, Assault, Heavy or Medic gives a chance to explore different tactics, approach the enemies in differently and replay the levels in various ways. One thing remains constant – Liev must finish his missions in the shortest time possible.

The new gameplay mode is available to all owners of the game as a free update both on Steam and GOG (game version 10226 and above).

ABOUT DAYMARE: 1998: Daymare: 1998 is a third-person survival horror game with hardcore survival mechanics and unyielding enemies. It requires a strategic approach to combat and puzzles and offers a multi-character perspective of the story, revealing deep and obscure lore.

The scene is set with a secret research facility, a deadly chemical weapon, and a special security team tasked with investigating an incident with the potential to become more than a routine security breach. Follow the steps of an elite soldier, a helicopter pilot, and a forest ranger as they play out their roles in an event that transforms one peaceful small town into a dead-zone and its citizens into bloodthirsty monsters. Take the creatures down first, and then look for any clues or evidence that you can piece together to make sense of the chaos. Keep track of your inventory, as resources will be scarce! Anything can happen when your daymares become real.
