Scifi Mystery “Cryptids” Now Available in Full on Podcast Platforms

CRYPTIDS: A SCI-FI AUDIO MYSTERY PODCAST

Cryptids, a sci-fi scripted podcast, now has its entire first season out on podcast platforms. At just seven episodes, about 20 minutes each, this story is an easy snack-able listen for your commute or binge for your holiday travels.

Cryptids follows Eve, a pediatric hospice nurse, and Trevor, a late night conspiracy radio show host, in search of an afterlife. Instead, they find a truth beyond their wildest nightmares.

Eve is a true believer. She uses Trevor’s radio show to escape from the death she faces every day while at work. Eve finds faith in believing something else is out there. But, Eve needs to prove that something is real. She forces her way into Trevor’s off-air life, and together they set out to find the truth behind a well-believed conspiracy: aliens on the moon are orchestrating death and harvesting human souls. On their search, the two are forced to face their greatest fears while on the cusp of not only proving the existence of Gods and Monsters, but unveiling one of humankind’s darkest and most profound secrets.

Alasdair Stuart of The Full Lid has described Cryptids as “an impressive, complex and ambitious show… It’s fast-paced, bleakly humorous, and has a top notch cast.” Other reviewers have praised the show as “a darkly captivating and moody sci-fi mystery that exists in the same thematic space as iconic television series The X-Files and Fringe” (The 7th Matrix). Fans of other mysterious fiction podcast such as Homecoming and The Black Tapes will see Cryptis as “the new/creepiest part of [their] day” (Fallon Marie Gannon, Geek Girl Authority ).

Cryptids was created and written by Alexander V. Thompson. Directed by Devin Shepherd. Produced by Nora Unkel, Devin Shepherd, and Gabriel Rosenstein. The show stars Alexander V. Thompson, Marianna McClellan, William McNulty, and Jenna Krasowski. Sound design by Gina Zdanowicz.

The first season is now available on Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Spotify, Stitcher, or wherever you get your podcasts.
