Several years ago I discovered Dustin Mills’ Puppet Monster Massacre. I absolutely loved it and soon I was searching him out on social media. It was around this time that I started seeing horror fans make posts for Mills’ film Zombie A-Hole. I picked up and before I knew it I was a fan. I’ve bought and reviewed every one of his films until now.
Earlier in the year I had pre-ordered his video collection The Haley Jay Horror Show. This is a collection of shorts and music videos directed by Mills and starring several indie scream queens along with his regular Haley Madison. I decided that my October horror binge was the perfect time to give it a go.

I knew this wasn’t a traditional movie which does make it a little harder to review so I’m approaching this one as an overall presentation and not each and every segment. If I did every video I would be here forever. This collection is fun but I honestly can’t see myself revisiting it anytime soon.
The acting in this one is not conventional. Most of the segments are done in a Russ Meyer inspired nudie flick in similar fashion to Sushii’s Sex Séance. They are meant to be sexy but not to really portray a character in a conventional sense. They bare it on and completely dedicate themselves to the scene. All are sexy and completely mesmerizing.
The stories for these are simple enough. Mills’ took the concept of the nudie flick and made it arthouse. It doesn’t take away the sex appeal but doesn’t just give the viewer nudity or the sake of nudity. With that being said, once you’ve seen it you feel as if you will not need to see it again.
Finally, some of the segments has some blood with minimal practical effects. A film like this is not a showcase for gore but more focused on the beauties on screen. Overall, The Haley Jay Horror Show is for the fans of horror and nudity. It’s very entertaining but the lack of story makes it one you will not seek out a second time. However, it’s a fun and sexy first time watch. If you don’t have this one in your collection I highly suggest you remedy that.
