Nigel Hartwell’s “Demented” to Debut at AFM

Demented has just been completed and will be making its film market debut November 4th at the American Film Market. The film will be looking for a home in various territories before its domestic release which will occur early 2021.

A test screening at the Edmonton Festival of Fear won a best exploitation film award and also a best actor award for Dakota House (North of 60).

The film also stars Felissa Rose (Sleep Away Camp), Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), Bret “The Hitman” Hart (WWE Hall of Famer), Cheyenne Ennis (Insight of Evil), and ROH current women’s champion Angelina Love.

For one female entity time stands still, while for another time travels back and forth between the plains of the supernatural and the earthly horrors of exploitation and murder. Under the guise of true love, Senica leads countless women down a dangerous path of no return. Guided only by the loyalty of Amanda and the sancity of sisterhood. This story attempts to raise awareness as it runs the full spectrum of the human condition and exposes the sometimes dark pathology of today’s Social Media. Although ficticious, this movie depicts the cruel reality of the number of women who go missing every year out of the sexual trade practice.

A sequel to the film is currently in development and will be shot in June 2021.
