Dakota Entertainment and Stache House Productions have launched the IndieGoGo campaign for their first independent feature film, a horror film, BEDRIDDEN.
The film tells the story of Teri, a weary widow, facing the painful task of rebuilding her life as a single mother, following a traumatic encounter with an armed assailant. When her worst fears seemingly come true, Teri finds herself bedridden and trapped in a cat and mouse game of life and death.
The cast includes local talent from El Paso, Texas – Elizabeth Elise Gonzalez, Angel Herrera, Hector Dez, Raquel Gomez and Ryan Rox. The film is written and directed by Dakota Thomas.
El Paso’s only horror rock band, Epitaph Romance, is writing and recording two original songs for the film.
Hollywood is assisting in this journey!
Veteran and cult actress Tuesday Knight (best known for playing Kristen Parker in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master) is supplying some of the music for the film. Knight is no stranger to music, having sung the title track ‘Nightmare’ in the fourth installment of the popular Freddy Krueger franchise.
Lito Velasco is scoring the film. Velasco has done the music for the horror documentaries: Scream: The Inside Story and More Brains! A Return to the Living Dead. He also worked on the popular fan films: The Confession of Fred Krueger and Don’t Fall Asleep. He also played the killer in the 2017 Christmas slasher film All Through the House.
Our IndieGoGo goal is to raise $5,000 and contributors can except kick back perks such as: t-shirts, poster, digital copy of Tuesday Knight’s Bedridden single “When You’re Gone”, Executive Producer credit, and a digital copy of the finished film, which is scheduled to be released by the fall of this year.
Every contributor, no matter the amount, will receive a Thank You credit at the end of the film!
The campaign is running from now until March 1st.
