The Simulated Multiverse – New Book Arrives 10/15

Just in time for the release of The Matrix Resurrections, Free Guy and “What If?,” author, MIT computer scientist and Silicon Valley video game designer Rizwan Virk (Founder of Play Labs @ MIT) will be releasing his new book The Simulated Multiverse on October 15. The book is a follow up to The Simulation Hypothesis, which was the first popular book to tackle all aspects of one of the most daring and consequential questions of our time: Do we live inside a video game?

In his new book, Virk takes us deeper into the rabbit hole and explores the idea of parallel universes through the lens of simulation theory, asking: Do we live inside multiple simulated realities, in a simulated multiverse, like those depicted in Marvel’s Multiverse of Madness and DC’s Arrowverse, each with its own timeline? If so, what would be the purpose of these different timelines and how do they relate to our ideas of the past and the future?
