Dakota Thomas’ Bedridden Inks Distro Deal with SRS Cinema, Announces Benefit Screening This June

Fresh off of winning the Bronze Award for Best Feature Film at the Mindfield Film Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, filmmaker Dakota Thomas has more excited news for his latest flick Bedridden.

It was recently announced that Dakota inked a distribution deal with SRS Cinema and Bedridden is slated to debut on DVD and VOD before the end of 2022. Special features on the DVD edition will include deleted scenes, a commentary track and a feature-length making-of documentary called “A Rude Awakening: The Making of Bedridden”.

Finally, Bedridden will have a special benefit screening on June 5th at The Fountain Theatre in Mesilla, New Mexico. All proceeds will go to helping this independently run movie theater stay in business.

Written and directed by Dakota Thomas, Bedridden stars Elizabeth Elise Gonzalez, Angel Herrera, Hector Dez, Raquel Gomez, Cienna Valles, Ryan Rox and Al Matamoros. Produced by Elizabeth Elise Gonzalez, Raquel Gomez, Christian Valencia and Dakota Thomas, this title features cinematography and editing by Martin Ramirez, with additional editing by Dakota.

Bedridden tells the story of Teri, a weary widow, facing the painful task of rebuilding her life as a single mother, following a traumatic encounter with an armed assailant. When her worst fears seemingly come true, Teri finds herself bedridden and trapped with her newest foe in a cat and mouse game of life and death.
