Sad news today as sources including Deadline are reporting that cult actress Priscilla Pointer has passed away at age 100. The news was later confirmed by her daughter, who let sources know the cause of death was natural – Priscilla just died peacefully in her sleep this Monday.
Priscilla Pointer is most known for her numerous roles in horror films. These credits include Mrs. Snell in Carrie, Dr. Simms in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, Ms. Cox in Twilight Zone: The Movie and Dr. Berlin in CHUD 2.
Her other most noteworthy credits can be found in Mommie Dearest, Inferno, Blue Velvet and the original “Dallas” television show. She’s the co-founder of the San Francisco Actor’s Workshop.
While her career started way back in 1954, her last title to date was in 2008.
