  1. George Romero’s “Land of the Dead” and “Diary of the Dead” were two of his WORST horror films. Huge letdowns for the fans. Dull, Distant, and with “action violence” that doesn’t have the impact of intimate violence like “Night of the Living Dead” did. No amount of high-def extras can make it a good horror film. Sadly, both George Romero and Dario Argento (his atrociously bad “Mother of Tears”) have lost their masterful touch in their old age. Their films were once GREAT during the 60’s and 70’s, but now they are all just dull and rotten.
