The Murder Game

"A group of teenagers invent a game in which one of them is secretly chosen to be a "killer," while the others remain innocent victims. Armed with prop weapons, the killer must eliminate the other players before being found out. To enhance the experience, the teens sneak into a large self-storage warehouse during its closed, late-night hours to hold their game. At first, it’s better than ever. But, things take a shocking turn as one by one, the players begin dying…for real."

That’s the plot of The Murder Game, an independent horror film shot in Maryland and currently making the rounds of the festivals where it took first place at the Salem Independent Horror Film Festival and has garnered reviews that say things like " The Murder Game gives horror fans what they need; a mystery to solve and plenty of gore! Any film that makes me yell "rock on" after a death scene scores double points in my book!" from Horror-Web.com.

Add to that a great soundtrack and a trailer that opens with a message that "This preview has been approved for all audiences who don’t care what the MPAA says" and you have something that looks like a winner!

"The Murder Game" is having it’s Philadelphia premier on Wednesday October 18th at 8:30pm at the ethical society building (across the street from rittenhouse square) as part of the terror film festival. Come on out and watch an indy horror gem!

There’s screenings happening though October and November with more to come.
