Another update from Ron DeCaro about his new movie “The Gateway Meat”. If anyone who reads here often knows that we are a huge fan of Ron’s movies and a huge fan of Extreme Horror in general. From the sounds of it this new feature is sure to top both of his other projects in terms of specail effects. He has put together a crew of true professionals (in the sense of movie making, not money…cuz its not really about the money…but the art) and they have unleashed the horror beast with this one.
Sure to make a huge mark in the underground and indie horror scene with this one. Ron and the crew have put together The Gateway Meat as the third part of the Brightside Trilogy. His other two projects are brutal stories of love, lose, addiction, and consiquences. This last one will sum it all up for us and put everything into a blood filled perspective. The Gateway Meat is the final and most horrific chapter of the Brightside trilogy. Production began in early October and should be complete by the end of November. We already shot the most brutal looking effects I’ve ever made. Also the cast and crew have grown significantly. I’ve been designing and building almost all of the effects but this time around we have enlisted the help of friends Aaron and Ben LaBonte as principle on set Make-up Artist. Their talent can be seen in many films most notable would be The Toe Tag films August Underground and the upcoming REDSIN TOWER. We shot some stuff on November 11th that can not be undone. Brutal, sick and just plain wrong the way horror is meant to be. If you have seen Eating Razors and The White Lie you may think the stories were unrelated think again. All will be made clear in the final and most disturbing chapter. Upon completion of the Gateway Meat (early 07) we will release a very limited edition DVD of the film. After those are gone we will release a 2 disc special edition of the Brightside Trilogy which will include all 3 films as well as tons of extras.
