NOTLD Re-Cut

Just recieved this in my inbox about a family friendly re-edit of the horror classic Night of the Living Dead. Interesting idea behind this and the creators of the website Cruxy are featuring this video for download. Looks like Dean Lachiusa from the site www.Neo-Cine.com has re-edited the open source classic for a more friendly viewing version by taking out the scenes of violence and altering the storyline a bit.

Every sequence has been re-framed and digitally-composed with hand-held camera motion, new perspective and special effects. – “Dean Lachiusa”

I have not seen this yet, but I might fork over the incredibaly low $2.50 to check this out. I have heard of amny re-cuts and re-dos of the classic but this is definatley a first for me. Ive never heard of a family friendly zombie movie!

Check out the synopsis of the new version and links to grab it below…

Sneak Preview of the Family Friendly Edition! This homage to the classic Romero film has been digitally enhanced with new footage, digital effects, color treatments, and camera-angles that simulate perspective. The pacing is fast, and the story has been revised.

* Important! In order to create an enjoyable experience for families, violent images have been altered. * We’d like to hear your opinion about this “family safe” edition. Are there any scenes that you feel are too violent for your children? Is the film still too scary? * Watch the movie, it runs about 73 minutes in WMV format. We recommend that you double or triple the picture size. Afterwards, please feel free to submit your comments or complete the online poll.
