The Indywood Project?
Whats that many of you will be asking…
Indywood was founded by Antony Lane during the summer of 2006, with a goal to produce and distribute a movie independently using his Indywood Franchise. Antony Lane and his business partner Andrew Cargill then spent the next few months developing an idea which has now evolved into "The Indywood Project" a concept to raise a movies budget through the use of an online site. Unlike other websites looking for donations to raise money for their films, we wanted to offer a service, so hopefully for $20 most people will feel as though they are getting a lot for their money.
THE MOVIE – The movie is a spoof on 50's and 60's b-movie sci-fi films and also 70's and 80's zombie movies, we have some amazing names already attached to get this film off the ground.
THE IDEA – We have 6000 mini squares on a huge grid; each square can be purchased for $20 (£10.08), they are cleverly called Producer Squares. After hitting the buy it now you will get a chance to submit a photo of yourself to put in your chosen square and it will be linked up to your own producer profile, this will then give you a chance to promote yourself or anything you want. Many people will visit the site and click on profiles to see what people are promoting….

THE PRODUCER COMPETITION – Just like in the real film Industry, we want to offer a producer a chance at getting a portion of the budget, so we are giving one lucky producer 10% of the money raised through the Indywood Project.
If we sell every square that brings the budget to $120,000 (£61,000) and it puts the producer prize at $12,000 (£6,100), but even if we don't sell every square before the end of June deadline, the producer prize is what ever is raised up till that day.
During the first week of July we will have a well known filmmaker pick out the winning producers at a live press conference… keeping everything above board.
So please help this movie out and help us make UK MOVIE HISTORY with trying to raise $120,000 through a website to make Indywood's first Feature length horror movie.
