Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release seven titles from the After Dark Horrorfest, a collection of never-before-seen horror films deemed too risky for the studios. The festival, arranged by writer-director Courtney Solomon’s After Dark Films and Lionsgate, screened the films at 500 theatres across the country this past November. Due March 27th are Dark Ride, The Gravedancers, the highly acclaimed The Hamiltons, Penny Dreadful, Takashi Shimizu’s Reincarnation, Unrest (the first film to use real bodies) and Wicked Little Things. All will feature anamorphic widescreen transfers and Dolby Digital audio.
Dark Ride will include a commentary with director Craig Singer and producer Chris M. Williams, “Ticket to Ride” & “Behind the Mask” featurettes, deleted scenes and storyboard montage; The Gravedancers includes commentary, deleted scenes, a featurette, photo gallery and trailer; Penny Dreadful includes a featurette, teaser trailers and “Sanity” music video; Reincarnation includes an introduction, featurette, deleted scenes and interview with Takashi Shimizu; Unrest includes a commentary and featurette. Retail is $19.98 apiece.
