Pan’s Labyrinth Wins Award

The National Society of Film Critics went foreign for its best picture choice on Saturday, voting Guillermo Del Toro’s political fantasy “Pan’s Labyrinth” the best movie of the year.

Win was the first for the Spanish-language release from HBO/New Line venture Picturehouse. Movie, which opened last week to impressive per-screen numbers, is the official selection of Mexico for the foreign Oscar and is expected to compete in the category.
