Chaos Review

I was at Best Buy looking for something spooky to watch but wasn’t coming up with anything I haven’t seen already or anything that I thought would be worth watching. I happened to come across the cover of “Chaos.” On the cover it claims to be “The most brutal movie ever made” Famous film critic Roger Ebert says “I can not ignore it, nor can I deny that it affected me strongly…the movie works.” This story is about 70’s serial killer Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskins and his sick gang who commit two of the most heinous murders of all time. The girls are ready to party and trying to score some ecstasy. They unfortunately pick the wrong guy to ask and end up in a hell of a situation…a deadly one….

This film is so horrific and realistic that I could not sleep after watching it. I wanted to lock my kids up and never let them outside again in this world that is so sick and twisted. Watching that Sadistic son of a bitch do unspeakable things to these two girls made my stomach ache at the thought of being in their shoes. Hearing their screams of terror and agony slices thru you like a knife. It’s one of those movies that is so sick that you have to watch it. Like a freak of nature…like passing a grizzly car accident but not being able to turn away from the wreckage, the injured or the dead passengers as you pass by. No matter how bad you wanna close your eyes, you just can’t.

It’s one of those movies you just can’t stop talking about because you just can believe what just happened, it truly sickens you and makes certain body parts twinge with the thought of the excruciating acts being committed to them. The seedy characters skeeve you out with their outlandish behavior. Chaos is the worst of them all as he shamelessly tortures and maimes, while his bisexual dirty underpants looking girlfriend Daisy begs for a piece of the action. Swan, a spineless piece of shit that likes to bait the girls and bring them back to his daddy Chaos. Frank was just a plain out greasy haired freak.

The thing that gets me the most is this movie is so real it’s like being a fly on the wall watching as it all happens. It doesn’t even show certain degrading acts but hearing them and just knowing what is happening is enough to scar your mind with. Most movies rely on spectacular special effects or a mysterious turning twists in a plot to keep you guessing. Not here. This movie is raw, disturbing and real. It’s a cold hard smack in the face with a large dose of reality. Things like this happen everyday it’s just not thrusted forcefully in your face. You can watch an edited version of crimes on news broadcasts… but there is nothing edited here. Watch this flick at your own risk, it not something that will leave the recesses of your mind for a long, long time. I give it 5 heaping cans!

  1. Yeah I couldn't believe what was happening either. I was watching a piece of shit rip off of Last House on the Left, made by people who claimed they were working from an original script that had nothing to do with Craven's film…
