Cigarette Burns- MASTERS OF HORROR-John Carpenter

Of course people hear the name John Carpenter and immediately Michael Myers pasty white face and Jamie Lee Curtis pops into their minds remembering one of the scariest movies horror history has to offer.
In his chapter of the Masters Of Horror Collection “Cigarette Burns” he shows us the story of Kirby, a troubled movie programmer who is searching for the holy grail of the cinema world, a movie called “Absolue Du Monde” This movie was shown once and it’s only audience was driven crazy enough to kill off each other. The man paying him to find the only surviving print is obsessed and can’t wait to have his own private screening.
I really liked this movie. I know of a few people who complain that it should of taken longer for Kirby to find the film, but what do you expect from a story that needs to be told in 59 minutes.. so I think thats why they kind of got right to the point. I loved the whole idea of a film shown that drove it’s audience nuts. Even if they cut out the clips of Kirby’s relationship woes.
There was some confusion of the way certain things turned around after the flashes but even that didn’t deter me from fully enjoying this movie. It was definitely one of the better episodes of the bunch!
