Synopsis: Inspector Aberline is an opium-addicted detective for Scotland Yard. He is in charge of the most difficult case of his career or his life. He must find the identity of Jack The Ripper, one of the most vicious serial killers in history. Can he stop this monster or will the streets of Whitechapel run red with blood once again.

Roy: This is a very well made and well acted film. It has enough blood and gore to satisfy the horror purists. It explores an interesting theory of the identity of Jack the Ripper. I recommend this to any horror fan or anyone interested in crime dramas.

Tommy: Pretty good movie based on the Jack the Ripper mythos. It is a tad bit too long for my taste but still a worth-while horror movie. The gore was very graphic and bloody and the movie at times was quite disturbing. The Hughes brothers originally wanted Daniel Day-Lewis to play the lead role and they also interviewed Sean Connery, Jude Law, and Brad Pitt before deciding on Johnny Depp. Great movie to watch with Sleepy Hollow as a double feature.
