Variety reports that “Saw 2” and “Saw 3” director Darren Lynn Bousman will work with Lionsgate Pictures once again on “Repo! The Genetic Opera.” The film is based on an original story by co-composers and screenwriters Terrance Zdunich and Darren Smith.
According to the trade, the story takes place in the future when an epidemic of organ failures has taken over the planet and scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.
