THE GRAND HORROR
Director- Mat Kister

Review by: TheAngryPrincess

ghorrorI finally got around to watching my screener of Indie Director Mat Kister's "The Grand Horror." Four friends fight their way thru city streets full of zombies finding safety within the walls of an old movie theatre not knowing that two other surviors snuck in and were in the basement. Upstairs Steve manages to annoy Rhyann to the poiint of her wanting to slap him silly while T.J. and Jeremy search the basement for zombies or anything that can useful to them.

Downstairs Pam and Robert set up for safe keeping and put boxes infront of the only door leading in. So now everyone is settled in and strange things begin to happen, turns out "The Grand" is haunted by an array of ghosts that slowly begin to show themselves. I liked the way "The Cannibal" ghost moved with slow spastic steps that rendered it this ravenous meat eater.

Watching the actors creep thru the old theatre reminded me of all the times I used to sneak into "Lakeland Asylum" with my cousin, we would comb those dark hallways and patients rooms countless times and it was always an adventure. The movie was fun to watch and I'll admit I thought "Ryhann" was going to be a survior, and "Steve" would end up with a broom upside his head for being such a pain in the ass!

I'd have to say that for this movie being a first full length release for "Dead Lantern Pictures" it was graced with a pretty cool storyline and some comical scenes that made me laugh out loud. "The Grand Horror" delivered the goods and I wish the cast and crew good luck with their future in the movie making business.
