About IndieOrbit.com:
IndieOrbit.com, a venture of Indie Orbit LLC, is an innovative independent film distribution Web site that offers feature-length filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their films on a pay-per-view basis to a wide audience while keeping the distribution rights to their work. IndieOrbit.com is based in Summit, N.J., with additional offices in Los Angeles. To learn more about IndieOrbit.com, please visit www.IndieOrbit.com.

“We are revolutionizing the world of the true indie filmmaker by changing the distribution rules,” said William Cicchino, founder of Summit, N.J.-based IndieOrbit.com. “The standard distribution path of ‘make your film, hit the festival route and pray a distributor will pick it up’ is no longer the only option. By using IndieOrbit’s Web-based platform for distributing their features on a pay-per-view basis, indie filmmakers do not have to surrender any of their distribution rights or a cut of their profits.”

IndieOrbit.com was formed around the goal of “True Web Distribution.” Through True Web Distribution, IndieOrbit.com offers feature-length filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their films in high-speed 700kbps, progressive downloads to a world-wide audience. IndieOrbit.com also enforces piracy prevention by using a market leader in digital rights management (DRM) to ensure that films are both copy-proof and only viewable for 48 hours.

In addition, filmmakers are provided with their own film Web page (including the film’s name in the URL), plus space for them to sell advertising on their film page. IndieOrbit.com also supplies filmmakers with a venue for DVD and merchandise sales and offers discounted cast and crew advertising.

“We are putting the distribution power in the hands of the indie filmmakers,” said Los Angeles-based IndieOrbit.com partner, Javier Ruisanchez. “They can now distribute their films online, set their own price per download, retain all the rights and remain protected from piracy issues.”

IndieOrbit.com offers two price points of $199 for a three-month film posting and a price of $299 for a six-month posting. A 50-cent bandwidth charge applies to all downloads in both price offerings. As an added feature, IndieOrbit.com also offers a low-cost compression service that will compress feature-length films (60-120 minutes, plus a 90-second trailer) for $99.

IndieOrbit.com also provides an Anthology Option for short filmmakers. Through this option, filmmakers can arrange their short films in an anthology format, which must be a minimum of 60 minutes and have “Anthology” in the title of the film. Pricing for the Anthology Option remains the same as for feature-length films.

If you’re ready to turn your passion into your career by getting your film the recognition it deserves, please visit www.IndieOrbit.com to learn more.
