Lizzy is a bad girl. She is an outcast at school who doesn’t care about anything or anyone….including herself. Her best friend Kevin and her go for a drunken joy ride popping ecstasy and wind up dead, only Lizzy is brought back and she thinks something evil might of come along for the ride. Urban Ghost Story leads you thru this story with a steady build up leading you right up to the finish.

One night when Lizzy and her young brother are sleeping when they here the familiar scratching and know that something is there with them. When her mother comes in to yell about her scaring her brother an incident occurs to make her really question if it is just Lizzy being mean and terrifying. The music in this scene is what makes it so scary and stand out so well.

Urban Ghost Story’s dark atmosphere along with all of the tests the doctors put Lizzy thru reminded me of The Exorcist. Child Services step in and plan on taking the kids away from the single mother thinking that she might be abusing them. Watch as doctors try to determine whether Lizzy is psychologically ill, or is there another reason for all these strange experiences.

There is nothing like a good old fashioned ghost story to sink your teeth into. Watch as this poor family goes thru absolute hell trying to figure out the cause to their insanity. Everyone that offers to help is really only there to benefit themselves whether it be research or a story for the local newspaper. Try to figure out on your own what the mystery is behind these unusual events that take place in this modern ghost story.
