Jackson Home for Sale

Haunting is not generally a feature played up by real estate agents in the marketing of a property – except perhaps when the ghosts belong to film maker Peter Jackson. Richmond Hall, the Kapiti property used as a location for Jackson’s film The Frighteners, is up for sale and drawing interest from here and abroad.

The 1996 movie starred Michael J Fox and featured a ghost sweeping down the house’s staircase.

The 493 square metre, five-bedroom home was built in 1982, designed to authentic Georgian proportions and dimensions, and sits on a 2043 square metre section.
