The Pit and the Pendulum

Ray Harryhausen Presents The Pit and the Pendulum won Best Short Film at Crypticon Seattle’s Indie Film Horror Fest, Friday, May 23, 2008, then garnered a Jury Award for Best Short Film at Toronto Hispano-American Film Festival, in Toronto, ON, Canada, Sunday, May 25, 2008.

The Pit and the Pendulum is a stop-motion adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story of judgment, condemnation and redemption, directed by animation veteran Marc Lougee, Produced by Susan Ma. Legendary animation and visual effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen Executive produced the film with former Zoetrope Studio President, Fred Fuchs.

The Pit and the Pendulum is soon to be released on DVD with nearly 2 hours of extra features footage, including interviews with the production crew, sound effects team, visual effects artists, storyboards, festival coverage and more!
