Pray there is a God! (Review by AngryPrincess)

One day I was cruisin around myspace carousing for interesting looking films whose directors might want some exposure. I saw the pic for Demons Among Us and thought maybe this would be something I might enjoy. What sucks about this is I don’t know proper film terms for the way they edited or added some eerie effect with light and sound….I am a film term virgin so bare with me here- James, Doug and Chris feel free to offer to school me in this.

The main thing you need to know about this film is that it has to be the coolest thing I have seen in a very long, long time. I hate writing about how stellar it really was because then sometime’s readers tend to expect to much from it then email with the headline of ‘WTF!” I am going to do my best so I don’t get crucified with insults on my intelligence, so here goes:

Joe Mellon moves on out to the country so he relax and finally get some peace and quiet. A dark presence is creeping up to Miranda Falls with the intention of changing the worlds as we know it. Evil has plans to try and end it. People are slowly being slaughtered by The Demons Among Us and as I watched this battle for control of our very existence I realized I was scared…fuckin scared!

Now I can’t tell you the last time I have had something scare me, so for this experience I want to thank director Stuart Simpson immensely. This film is in the veins of Evil Dead with Joe and his talking axe, but what can you say this man has completely lost it. Demons Among Us was four years in the making with a shoe string budget to work with. Every penny in this production was well spent.

This film will keep you glued to the tube with it’s blood, gore, and trippy effects. I felt like something was slipped in my drink when I wasn’t looking with its hallucination induced visions -this movie was fuckin creepy and had some of the most sinister, sadistic, terrifying sounds and background music I have ever heard. I can say that I think anyone who is into horror will love this flick and will be trying to push it on all of their friends to watch- isn’t it so nice to share?
