Trust Mother Lily Monteverde’s instincts. She is celebrating Regal’s 48th anniversary in film production and distribution via a horror film Mag-Ingat Ka Sa… Kulam starring her prized stars Judy Ann Santos (who had her significant starrers in Regal) and Dennis Trillo (the only top male exclusive Regal actor at present).

“My journey towards film production has been very colorful. The 48 years of Regal has taught me valuable lessons as such as acceptance [of the ever-changing situation], belief and trust [in people and well-meaning friends especially the audience and the press] and love [in everything that I do],” said Mother Lily.

This year, Regal’s journey has been marked with films in various genre—but with the two lead actors closest to Mother Lily’s heart, she has decided to make Judy Ann and Dennis’ horror film Mag-Ingat Ka Sa… Kulam as her anniversary presentation.

“There is a lot to learn in the movie. Mag-Ingat Ka Sa… Kulam will not only give you a really good scare but at the same time—an understanding on how the phenomenon of kulam works and what we should do in case we become victims of it,” relates Mother Lily.

“With this film which features my favorite young actors like Juday and Dennis,” said Mother Lily, “I’m rejuvenated with my association with the young people who serve as the hope of our industry.”

After her 48 years in filmmaking, what is Mother Lily and Regal Films up to? “ More films, more quality and box-office hit films that would make this industry alive and active once again.
