Illinois gore hounds can rejoice! Midwest residents Adam Rockoff and Ministry’s Al Jourgensen’s horror opus Wicked Lake arrives on DVD today. In fact, this bloody variation of The Last House on the Left and Carrie is being mass released (FYE, Best Buy, Amazon), to every blood lovers’ supreme pleasure.
Rockoff, the author of the seminal, beloved Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film co-wrote this scabrous beauty with Chris Sivertson (The Lost) and Jourgensen, naturally, provided the musical score. This independent production secured a limited release in New York City this past summer and is now ready to conquer the world – one vengeful, half naked co-ed at a time.
To add further limb strewn blessings onto our plate – the picture also features Full Moon regular Tim Thomersen, modern horror legend Angela Bettis, Robin Sydney (Masters of Horror, Evil Bong, Gingerdead Man) and Tromeo and Juliet’s Will Keenan.
