DR. AC and THE BOUSMAN: A Wicked Wednesday and a WildClaw Sunday! By Brian Kirst

Once again, Chicago is proving itself to be the Horror Capital of the world! Not only will WildClaw Theatre, the Midwest’s amazing theatrical company devoted to staging works of bone chilling horror, be premiering their third production (where does the time go?) The Dreams in a Witch House on Sunday, November 16th – BUT  – WildClaw founding member DR. AC with be sharing (in a manner of speaking) an evening of unquenchable scariness with SAW auteur Darren Lynn Bousman on Wednesday, November 12th. DR. AC will be bringing the fear to The Chicago Public Library John Merlo Branch – 644 W. Belmont Avenue at 7 PM. AC will be reveling in Horror 101, the title of the acclaimed horror film essay book that he is the proud editor of. And get this – except for some goose bumps and the off chance that your hair might turn white with terror – its totally free!

Then, afterwards, for the perfect double feature – head on down to the Music Box Theatre (www.musicboxtheatre.com) to witness Bousman on his Repo, the Genetic Opera tour at 10:30 PM! This crazy horror musical has been slaughtering its way, from city to city and you don’t want to miss your chance to revel in its chunk strewn craziness. DR. AC and THE BOUSMAN in one night – what more could you ask for?

Well, perhaps a few words directly from the wild and crazy DR, himself! Take it away, AC!

“HORROR 101 is now on the shelves of the Chicago Public Library!! – and the CPL John Merlo branch (644 W. Belmont Ave) author event has been bumped to this Wednesday, Nov. 12th at 7pm.  While it does mean that we missed the trick or treating heyday, I’m sure there are plenty of folks out there whose appetites were well whet and are looking for a few more monster movie recommendations to spring on Aunt Myrna at Thanksgiving.  The previous CPL events have been thoroughly enjoyable for fans and non-fans alike, with enthusiastic discussion and discourse all around, plus it’s FREE.   Love to see you there!  https://events.chicagoreader.com/events/Event?oid=855998
