firefox IE6 Problems UPDATED

OK, it should work for the most part now with IE6. Some things may still be funky, but it is readable….

Its come to my attention that some people are having problems with viewing the website with Internet Explorer 6. Sorry about that. I don’t use this browser, haven’t in a long time, and probably never will. So I have never really paid too  much attention to any issue this site might have with the browser.

To those of you that are using it and having problems, please upgrade your browsers, use FireFox, Opera, or go and get a Mac. It really is too much trouble to update everything to work with IE6, sorry.

Firefox is your best bet… http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

It’s FREE, and one of the best browsers that will work with any Operating System. I will try to make some adjustments with the layout for IE6, but that is about all.

Thanks

DrGore

IE6 has been a drag for us people running web sites. I tend to fix sites for it as there are still a lot of people using it.

Btw Horror Society renders perfectly on Safari and Firefox under Mac OS X.

Oh, yeah its a total pain!

I just never paid any attention to IE6 this time after I made a change a few months ago. But 24% of the visitors are still using it, so I cant leave them in the cold. Thanks for the comment.

Im on a mac OS X as well, seems like everything works with it :)

While I laud your efforts to move your users to a more modern browser, I do not think that asking users to change their browsing solution to accommodate an inconvenient technical deficiency on a single website (when millions of other websites render perfectly in IE6) is an appropiate solution either.
While I am enjoying watching Microsoft lose the second round of browser wars, coercing users to use a certain browser to view sites is the same sort of nastiness that IE emplyed the first time around to exclude Netscape from market share. That said, love the site, please keep it up!

Im asking them to make the change not only for this site, but all sites and for the fact that the other browsers will be a better, faster and safer solution with everything in the future.

I did make changes because almost 25% of the visitors to the site use IE6, so I changed it to keep them. I just cant promise anything to work perfectly with IE6 in the future.

This site has plugins which are not made by me, so I cant promise that those will work with IE6 as well. That is really what I mean by not keeping it updated for IE6. I can make sure everything is readable and I think it is now. :)
