Adrienne King, long admired for her powerful performance of Alice in the first two Friday the 13th films, is hitting back with a vengeance. She has a resonantly emotive interview segment in His Name was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th, the recent documentary celebrating all things Jason, and she is also looking forward to the release of Mel House’s extremely exciting independent production, Walking Distance.

In fact, King wanted to be sure her return to the screen was vital, so she initially turned down House’s project. She didn’t think the suggested role would be appealing enough of a return for her devoted fans. The wise House came back with a counter offer, though – asking King to take on a role originally intended for a man. King then excitedly agreed to bring the complicated world of Louise Strack to life, knowing that her return to the horror field would be an important and powerful one.

In celebration of this accomplishment, King with join House and other cast members at the West Coast Edition of Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors. Held April 17th – 19th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, this panel should indeed be a highlight of a very full and exciting weekend. King is a devoted and spiritually centered participant of these sessions and always has titillating tidbits to share with the crowd.

Of course, those unable to attend the event are advised to keep abreast of King’s plans and the future of Walking Distance at King’s artistic and friendly website, www.adrienneking.com. This is surely the year of the King and everybody would be wise to participate if they can.
