Fright Flick, the funny, chunk strewn horror film mock-u-mentary, which burst onto the terror landscape at last fall’s Chicago Horror Film Festival – is at it again!
Winning Best Gore Special Effects at last weekend’s Bare Bones Festival in Muskogee, OK, Fright Flick (which also won House Pick at October 08’s B Movie Festival in Syracuse, NY) is now set to lead off the film festival at this weekend’s Texas Frightmare Weekend in Irving, TX. There, Fright Flick cast and crew will hob knob with some of the premium names of horror including Tobe Hooper, Linda Blair and Karen Black.
Even more exciting, perhaps, for Fright Flick director Israel Luna, is the announcement that his next feature Ticked Off Trannies with Knives (a Death Proof homage) is sent to enter pre-production with filming scheduled to begin in late June.
Ultimately, if Ticked Off provides even half the amusement and axe thrown thrills of Fright Flick then horror lovers are indeed in for another glorious ride.
