So Movieside here in Chicago has a screening of Rec 2 (Midwest Premiere), Night of the living Dead, and Zombie on May 21st. With special guest in attendance, Bill Hinzman! Yeah the original Zombie from NOTLD. So we here at Horror Society have teamed up with Movieside to bring you a great contest.
For all you aspiring filmmakers, go out and shoot a zombie or horror short, up to 3 minutes, and you will have a chance to get it screened at the event and possibly win some great prizes. Check out the rules below…
This is the official place to post your Youtube link for the TERROR IN THE AISLE 4 contest. Post up your video link from YouTube, Vimeo, or any other video site you uploaded your short to and have the world judge you. We will be collecting videos up until May 16th, then you will vote on them and the top 5 will get screened on the big screen on May 21st.
You need to register for the forum first. Then include your name and description of the movie along with the video link. When registering, use your real email address, that is how we will get in contact with you later if your video is chosen. It will not be seen by anyone, so dont worry about that.
Films/Videos can be between 30 seconds (or shorter) and 3 minutes (no longer). The top 5 short films will play at the Terror in the Aisles 4 on May 21, 2010 on the big screen& the winners are decided by a panel of online judges& So post your film/video(s) as soon as possible. The festival has the right to refuse any film, without notice, for any reason.
Winners will be decided on Monday, May 17, 2010.
There is NO ENTRY FEE for the contest. The only guidelines are: No sexist, racist or homophobic material and no cruelty to animals, other than that splatter away!
The audience will choose a winner from the top 5 films at the Terror in the Aisles show. All 5 films will receive a prize with 1st place film receiving up to $200 worth of prizes (this is not a cash prize).
Bill Hinzman will present the winning film with the prize! That’s right! First prize given by George Romero’s 1st On Screen Zombie!
