Chase Community Giving

WildClaw Theatre, as most of you know, is Chicago’s only year-round, horror-centric theatre company. Since 2008, we’ve been bringing live horror to the Chicago stage (as well as bowling alleys and other locales). We are so lucky to have been embraced by Chicago’s horror community, and are continuously challenging ourselves to be deserving of the title, Chicago’s Horror Theatre Company.

Every year Chase Community Giving programs awards $5 million in grants to local non-for-profit organizations. And folks like YOU get to choose who gets the the donations. Yes, this means that for once, the asylum is truly in the hands of the inmates. This is an opportunity for the horror kids to let their voices be heard and if we are loud enough, Big Corporate Company Chase will award us anywhere from $20k to $250k. That’s a WHOLE lot of stage blood.

Please give WildClaw your vote, and help us be one of the 200 lucky groups that will receive one of the Chase awards. It takes less than 60 seconds, and each vote makes a huge difference for us. But please hurry, as there are only 18 days remaining for the campaign.

Yes, you need to be a Facebook member to participate, but I’m assuming that won’t be a problem for most of you. And hey, if you’re not a Facebook member, now is a great time to give it a try. If you hate it, feel free to cancel (after the contest is over, naturally).

And, if WildClaw has brought any amount of enjoyment into your lives, please reach out to a friend or two and ask them to vote as well. Because in this case, every vote counts. We need to place in the top 20 to qualify for an award, and while the top 10 might be beyond us, the 11-20 spots are absolutely within reach. Again, it only takes a minute, and remember, while you are voting, there are 100 other people out there with good intentions who are not. We appreciate you taking the time and effort to keep horror alive (or undead) in Chicago.
