Friday Fright Night presents The Giant Gila Monster – This Friday, August 6 8PM.
Remember the when monster movies had real (well, kind of) monsters and not the CGI filth that has taken over movies today? We sure do, and lucky for you this Friday the Time Community Theater is being taken over by THE GIANT GILA MONSTER! A small Texas town comes under attack by a tractor-trailer-size Gila monster in this campy classic. Local yokels become snacks for the huge lizard as it devours everything in its path. This one of those good films when a regular sized GIla monster is used on small scaled sets to make it look enormous. Of course, The Giant Gila Monster has been on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and can be seen on Ozymandias TV screen in the film adaptation of The Watchmen.
One thing’s for sure, this will be one fun evening. Be sure to check out The Giant Gila Monster this Friday @ 8pm at The Time Community Theater (445 N. Main St. Downtown Oshkosh)! How can you pass it up; free movie, cheap snacks and good company. Check out the trailer below and also the poster for the full line-up.
