Undead finds love connection in Don’t Tell Betsy music video. Zombie gets the girl in horror-comedy clip, but can he keep her?

Aug 09, 2010 – The walking dead don’t always have to get their heads shot off. Sometimes a zombie can even get the girl. Such is the case in the music video The Undead by Don’t Tell Betsy, an alternative rock outfit from California.

The horror-comedy clip stars model Ashley Pagliuso, a dead ringer for Katy Perry, with her zombie boyfriend, played by band bassist Gregg Bayne. The duo fill their days with things that normal couples do – they play chess together, cook together, have sex and fight.

But the question is, do the living dead have what it takes to keep a girl? When the zombie starts having glassy, bloodshot eyes for a cute little blonde, his lady sings, “You know, that if you ever ramble, I will send Bruce Campbell hunting after you.”

So do they make it work? Does she have him killed? Well, killed even more than he already is. Do they go their separate ways? Do his limbs go their separate ways? In order to find out what happens to this lovely couple, you will have to see the video.

It recently debuted online and can be seen on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn7DAVn_WfI), as well as the band’s blog (https://www.donttellbetsy.blogspot.com/).

A release from the band states most of the Don’t Tell Betsy members “have had sex with post living partners, so it only seemed natural that we set our social life to an infectious beat and make a video.”

Don’t Tell Betsy obviously has a great sense of humor as they also stated “It has been decades in the planning, millions were spent in its making and our star zombie had to spend three and a half years in makeup. Born of writers and artists, Don’t Tell Betsy is taking the dead world by storm. Soon to appear in a graveyard near you.”

The song, available onAmazon.com and iTunes.com, features special guest vocals by Katarina Pavlek from Death of the Author Brigade (https://www.youtube.com/MrDOTAB).

The Undead was shot by Tom Kanschat (Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof and miscellaneous music videos) and edited by Chad Clinton Freeman (Super Undead Doctor Roach and Sean Cain’s Silent Night Zombie Night) with makeup by Lauren O’Neil & Kat Laskey (Resurrection of Serious Rogers). The video also features quick snippets from a couple of classic zombie films, such as George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead.
